How you’ll make an impact
SonderMind is hiring a Credentialing Specialist, Verifications who will be responsible for ensuring that providers submit proper documentation as part of the application process to join SonderMind. As our ideal candidate, you are able to manage high volume activities while still maintaining strong attention to detail. You will be joining a collaborative high-energy team that is driven to support our providers throughout the credentialing process with the goal of shortening the amount of time it takes to get providers credentialed with our insurance partners.
Success looks like
Within one week, fully understand each step of the credentialing process.
Within one month, reach a level of efficiency across your duties as they relate to primary source verification
Within two months, ramp up to the prescribed service level agreements and maintain an audit error rate of less than 10%
Within three months, generate and implement at least one process improvement across all Credentialing activities
What you’ll do
Collects, reviews, and prepares data for final behavioral health professionals credentials verification. May work with providers to obtain any missing information
Verifies provider credentials (such as licensure, malpractice history, and education) in accordance with NCQA and payor requirements prior to the provider being presented to the credentialing committee
Maintains files on providers including information related to licensure or clinical practice disciplinary actions, clinical practice restrictions, and medical malpractice suits, judgments and settlements. Provides requested reports as directed
Maintains current knowledge of, and compliance with, internal and external regulatory standards
Operate with an extremely high level of attention to detail
Be able to quickly manage multiple priorities within established deadlines and metrics
What you’ll bring with you
Required Experience
1-2 years experience working in an credentialing role
Previous experience meeting and exceeding productivity metrics
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
Preferred Experience
Working knowledge of payor credentialing or contracting
Data research and entry experience
Experience working with healthcare insurance companies.
Experience with NCQA guidelines

This role is a full-time, non-exempt position. The anticipated pay range for this role is $21.64 per hour.
