Summary:

The Customer Relationship Analyst role builds strong relationships with dealers, distributors and/or manufacturers by providing outstanding customer service and support. This Red Iron Acceptance position resides within the partnership/joint venture between Huntington Distribution Finance (HDF) and The Toro Company.  Primary activities include managing risk, ensuring dealer’s compliance with program and repayment terms, customer service and support, ongoing maintenance to existing dealers.  The role serves as an excellent opportunity to build a career in either Portfolio Management, Credit, or Sales functions within the dynamic inventory finance industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintains the credit needs of the dealer, which include identifying, recommending, submitting, and processing credit line increases as well as managing order and dealer requests.
  • Functions as the main point of contact for the dealer including fielding dealer inquires, processing exception reviews, following up on financial statements and credit file conditions, and preparing dealer communications as needed.
  • Works with the processing team in Finance to ensure that the dealer’s funds are applied correctly, balances are cleared timely, and that credit memos from third parties are applied accurately and promptly.
  • Leverages the proprietary account management system and dynamic analytical tools to identify stressed accounts and escalate to management attention with recommendations.
  • Communicates the dealer’s needs, issues and concerns to the appropriate manufacturer contacts, Sales, Finance, Credit, and Compliance teams as appropriate.
  • Supports boarding processes for new dealer applications when required. Remains the primary contact for the dealer and follows through the entire process until the account is activated.
  • May engage in process improvement projects and customer travel at the discretion of Portfolio Manager.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in customer service, collections or credit.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in accounting, finance, business, or economics
  • 1 year experience in Banking, Equipment / Specialty Finance, or Inventory Finance industry in a customer advisory capacity strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new systems, analytical tools, and processes
  • Self-motivated, self-aware, and self-regulated
  • Ability to effectively participate in occasional cross functional project teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service: empathy concerning the dealers’ needs and concerns; and ability to confidently discuss account performance with customers
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitate data and draw conclusions
  • A critical thinker with the ability to prioritize
  • Strong attention to detail and inquisitive mindset

Compensation Range:

$25.00 – $45.00 Hourly

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
