Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida is seeking a UM Administration Coordinator for the Expanded Benefits Team who will contribute to administration of utilization management. The UM Administration Coordinator performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

The UM Administration Coordinator

  • provides non-clinical administrative support to the LTSS UM department for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.
  • Decisions typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments.
  • Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction.
  • Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of administrative or technical support experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • AHCA Level II Background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient utilizing electronic medical record and documentation programs.
  • Proficient and/or experience with medical terminology and/or ICD-10 codes.
  • Associate degree.
  • Member service or customer service telephone experience.
  • Experience with Prior Authorization, preferably within a managed care organization.
  • Experience with housing assistance.
  • Prior accounts payable experience.

Additional Information

  • Workstyle: HomeHome workstyle is defined as remote but will use Humana office space on an as needed basis for collaboration and other face-to-face needs.
  • Work Location: preferred residence in Florida.
  • Typical Work Days/Hours: must be able to work Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST).

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
