Information Security Operations Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Information security analysts design and implement security systems to protect Episource computer networks from cyber attacks and help set and maintain security standards. The Information security analyst will monitor computer networks for security issues, install security software, and document any security issues or breaches.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor computer networks for security issues
Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents
Install security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewalls, endpoint protection software, and data protection software.
Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause
Work with the security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities
Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
Stay current on IT security trends and news
Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
Perform penetration testing
Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
Requires an individual to maintain the ability to work in an environment with PHI / PII data


Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience, professional certification preferred.
Experience in information security
Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques
Understanding of firewalls, CASB, SASE, CSPM, ZTA,
Over five years of experience in information technology, preferably in the healthcare or technology industry
Possess one or more of these certifications: CISSP, CISA, Security+, CEH, GSEC, SSCP, OSCP
Excellent Verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating with internal and external customers.
Work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
Ability to work independently and complete assignments within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines and standard accepted practices.
High level of ethics, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Salary Range (or rate): $96,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year

Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, and other relevant factors. This is Episource’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position as of the time of posting
