The Benefits & Compensation Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of CivicPlus’ health and welfare benefit programs, 401(k) retirement plan, and compensation program.
We’re excited to hire a new Benefits & Compensation Administrator who can:
- Conduct day-to-day support and administration of health & welfare benefit programs, 401(k) retirement plan, and compensation program
- Communicate compensation and benefit programs, policies, and initiatives by developing presentations, maintaining Internal Knowledge Base content, leading meetings, preparing announcements, and responding to related inquiries
- Maintain benefits and compensation policies, procedures, and related documents to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to current best practices
Benefits:
- Coordinate logistics of benefit, wellness, and financial program activities, i.e., scheduling, employee events, compliance and policy training, open enrollment, and employee communications
- Work with the Director of People Operations to analyze employee benefit data and trends
- Identify areas of process improvement around benefit programs (and other related processes such as, the internal HR ticketing system, leave of absence, new hire onboarding, and collaboration with the payroll team)
- Manage communication with insurance broker to administer all benefit and wellness programs
- Recommend improvements to employee benefit administration and programs taking into consideration regulatory requirements, competitive advantage, employee acceptance, employee interests and cost
- Ensure retirement plans meet ERISA regulations and comply with organizational standards and budgetary restrictions
- Complete monthly benefits plan billing, benefits accounting, and reconciliation
Compensation
- Assist Director of People Operations in updating the compensation strategy and philosophy and building a global program around them
- Designs the basic compensation structures in the organization (grading system, job evaluation system, job description policy, promotion policy, etc) aligned with CivicPlus compensation philosophy, culture and core values
- Manages the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs
- Coordinates compensation processes that include annual merit increases, salary and bonus planning
- Provides relevant data and support to assist leaders in pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
- Prepare and participate in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
- Assists in developing and administering annual merit and incentive programs
- Assists in the selection of independent third-party salary surveys. Manages participation and data submissions
- Ensures compensation policies and practices comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Develops communications plans, tools and materials to increase the understanding of current and new programs
- Owns and maintains up-to-date compensation data and ranges in compensation software
There is no perfect candidate, but we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience working with benefits and compensation
- Global or international work experience – CivicPlus operates in the US, UK, Denmark, and Australia
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively within a team and in a remote setting
- Advanced skill level with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with UKG Ultipro and Payscale is a plus
