About the team
Angi is looking for a Benefit & Leave Specialist to join the People Ops team. This role and will partner closely with the current Sr. Benefit & Leave Specialist and People Operations Manager to manage the Benefits and Leave processes needed to support our team members.
What you’ll do
Provide exceptional customer service as you help team members navigate the leave, ADA and workers’ compensation processes, in many times during an exciting and/or difficult time in their lives.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the all leave types, ADA accommodations, and workers’ compensation programs.
Effectively manage cases in our Leave of Absence system (Presagia), our Human Resources Management System (UKG), and our Benefits administration system (bswift).
Independently approve or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information.
Coordinate and organize all medical information and ensure that team member privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
Interpret and administer leave programs and policies in accordance with the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, PHE, etc.). Ensure that the workers’ compensation cases are managed in accordance with applicable OSHA and workers’ compensation laws.
Produce and manage reporting metrics and analytics for leave cases and workers’ compensation claims.
Partner closely with HRBPs and Management on all workspace accommodation requests. Meet regularly to review the status of cases/claims and develops legally sound strategies for a mutually beneficial resolution.
Assist with basic team member benefits questions.
Independently approve or deny benefit escalation requests
Coordinates open enrollment and weekly benefits enrollment meeting for new hires.
Who you are
Must have completion of specialized certification or training on FMLA, leave administration, or benefits (Certified Leave Management Specialist, CLMS)
Ability to analyze information to determine appropriate course of action
Working knowledge of applicable employment laws (i.e. FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, PHE, Workers’ Compensation, etc.).
Ability to communicate effectively, while dealing with sensitive and confidential information
Computer aptitude, with strong knowledge around the MS Office Suite and Google, internet searching, and web-based applications, as well as the ability to learn new software quickly
Must be self-driven and able to work autonomously
The ability to handle multiple concurrent projects, to keep the information organized, and to learn on the fly to keep up with the lightning speed of our environment
A commitment to top-notch customer service, follow-through, and professionalism
Ability to quickly build relationships and trust with team members at all levels and maintain confidentiality
An associate degree in a related field is preferred
2+ years of experience in leave administration is preferred

Compensation & Benefits
The salary band for this position ranges from $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with experience and performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as cost of living.
This position will be eligible for a competitive year end performance bonus & equity package.
