Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Call Center Support Specialists. In this role, you will support a critical goverment project by providing exceptional customer service and support to individuals in need. As a Call Center Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting callers, addressing their concerns, and providing accurate information and guidance.
- Payrate: $17.20/hr + HW

This is an SCA position with Health & Welfare (H&W) dollars—also referred to as fringe dollars – are contributed by your employer to help pay for your benefit coverage as required by the Service Contract Act obligation. There is an H&W contribution for every hour you are paid (including PTO, but excluding overtime hours), up to 40 hours per week or as defined by the applicable Wage Determination.

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound and outbound calls, providing empathetic and knowledgeable support.
- Listen attentively to callers, assess their needs, and provide accurate information and guidance.
- Assure callers are treated with respect and professionalism, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance.
- Document all interactions and inquiries accurately and thoroughly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure prompt resolution of inquiries and appropriate follow-up actions.
- Stay up-to-date with policies, procedures, and program changes to provide accurate information.
- Adhere to established call center metrics, including call quality, average handling time, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate channels for further assistance or resolution.
- Maintain a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among colleagues.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
- 6 months of previous call center experience, ideally in a customer service or support role.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to actively listen and empathize with callers.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address inquiries effectively.
- Proficient computer skills and experience working with CRM systems or call center software.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle high call volumes in a fast-paced environment.
