Summary:

The Eligibility Representative, under minimal supervision, will resolve requests received by the policyholder with an efficient, professional, courteous and friendly manner and follow through each inquiry/request until completion.  Consistently maintains department standards for quantity and quality. The processor will retain and utilize information, policies, procedures, and resources to ensure accurate and efficient responses to our customers and business partners. The individual will effectively handle and relay information concerning benefits according to specified benefit plan design while meeting or exceeding established goals.


Major responsibilities and desired results:

  • Perform research, process service requests, and other applicable processing from customers and other business units within established service standards
  • Capacity to retain and utilize information, facts, policies, procedures, resources and codes to ensure accurate and efficient responses to meet/exceed established goals for QQ audits & surveys
  • Compliance with HIPAA regulations and Cigna guidelines
  • Accuracy in relaying information concerning benefits according to specified benefit plan design and accurately document content of the customer request
  • Desire to meet or exceed goals associated with processing goals, Schedule Adherence and Quality; while using efficient and appropriate work practices.
  • Participation in team and general Customer Service meetings to support organizational goals.
  • Flexibility to handle changes within the department and the company to include supporting extended hours determined by the business
  • Create and maintain a positive and team-oriented attitude

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient with LifePRO & OnBase applications
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Strong data entry and proficient use of multiple applications simultaneously.
  • Ability to locate and interpret complex information from multiple applications.
  • Capacity to work in a high volume environment while meeting required quality standards.
  • Previous office administrative work experience, preferred
  • High school degree or GED required.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17 – 24 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
