Position Summary:

Trupanion is looking for a motivated Sales Executive to join the Worksite Benefits Sales Team! This person will play a fundamental role in driving growth and engagement within Trupanion partnerships in achieving our customer acquisition growth objectives for our worksite business segment. They serve as the front-line liaison for all of our partners, brokers, companies, and key business collaborators.


Sales Executives are responsible for both employer relationships and the needs of each account. Individuals must be comfortable making and taking multiple calls per day, educating multiple market areas, and working with our partner broker sales professionals, and brokerages and direct with companies to generate interest and close sales. You will also be generating your own leads, answering inbound warm leads, and working hard to convert them into customers. Success in this role is based on your individual performance, and monthly bonuses are eagerly awarded when sales goals are met and exceeded – all while you help cats and dogs live longer healthier lives.

Candidates for this position have the option to work remotely from anywhere in the US, or out of our Seattle office, depending on their preference. Some travel will be required as needed.


Key Responsibilities Include:

Responsible for developing relationships with our partners. Connect with broker sales professionals, brokerages, and companies on a regular cadence to educate them on the benefits of our products, how to position them best in the marketplace, and coach any challenges or successes at multiple levels.
Carries out growth strategy of growing the Trupanion brand
Support partner leads through product education, compiling quotes, and completing RFPs.
Spend time identifying potential partnerships (prospecting) and cultivating those relationships to generate and lift enrollments in Worksite Benefits.
Educating company employees on the products and services being offered
Set and implement monthly and quarterly goals


Experience:

Proven experience working with brokers or within brokerages, knowledge, and proficiency working with large insurance companies
Insurance experience and understanding of sales and marketing through insurance networks
2+years of sales experience required – preferred B2B or entrepreneurial
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint with preferred exposure to Dynamics CRM
Experience working with RFPs preferred


Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

Strong product knowledge, client relations, and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to impact & influence internal and external partners using excellent communication skills with a bias to action through relationship building.
Ability to learn and shift quickly in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment.
Ability to lead engaging conversations to provide education about Trupanion, generate interest, and close sales.
Maintain a strong understanding of our varying product offerings and stay current on market competition.


Education, Registration & Certification:

Property and Casualty licensed in all States, or, candidate must pass test within 3 weeks of start date.
Canada P&C licensing a plus but not required.
Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $90,000 – $100,000 on a full-time schedule.
Along with the base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
We want all employees to be invested in Trupanion’s success, so we grant Restricted Stock Units to all new team members. Our new hire grants vest over 4 years.
