Remote Legal Specialist (Fully Work from Home)

General Purpose of Job

The Legal Specialist will support the legal and compliance team, reporting to the Associate General Counsel. The position is responsible for the supporting the team attorneys with contract drafting, preparation of amendments, collection of electronic signatures, conducting legal research.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Preparing contract amendments for renewals
Organizing and tracking execution of amendments which are required of multiple clients
Reviewing template school affiliation agreements, nondisclosure agreements and business associate agreements, under the supervision of an attorney
Manage subpoena responses and assistance with litigation preparation
Assist with revisions of policies and procedures.
Routing documents for electronic signature using Adobe Sign
Assistance with proofreading and formatting Word documents
Research regulations, laws, and legal articles
Provide general administrative assistance, such as assisting to coordinate meetings

Minimum Qualifications

Paralegal certificate, preferred
Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Contract administration experience, preferred
Healthcare knowledge, preferred
Computer/Software Knowledge: Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, Excel
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
Personal and professional integrity of the highest degree
Ability to maintain highly confidential information
Willing to look for ways to improve workflows
Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English

Pay Range: $60,000 – $80,000/yr

The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level.
