AIR is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our Corporate Finance Office (CFO), a dynamic workplace with a clear agenda to develop a service-oriented organization in line with the business. It is composed of a strong team of co-workers and challenging varied roles that aim to stretch and expand the value CFO delivers within AIR.
Candidates hired for the position may work remotely in the United States or from one of our U.S. office locations.

Responsibilities
The responsibilities for the position include:
Audit a high volume of expense reports, with a detailed focus on:Compliance with government regulations and organizational policies and procedures such as Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Validating appropriate authorizations and coding
Confirming required documentation is attached per policy and for all policy related exceptions
Reviewing for appropriate business purpose supporting the reimbursement request
Verifying per diem rates and proper reimbursement calculations
Provide excellent and responsive customer service to internal clients and assist with questions
Communicate and escalate to management any anomalies, questionable patterns and trends identified during the expense report review process
Other duties as assigned
Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time based on institutional needs
Qualifications
Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of Account Payable experience or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Economics with a minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience
Strong knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Solid experience and understanding of expense report policies and procedures and the end-to-end reimbursement process
Advanced skills in MS Excel, including experience with large data sets
High level of proficiency in accounting systems (preferably Deltek Costpoint and Cognos analytics)
Experience processing expense reports for international travel highly desirable but not required
Skills:
High attention to detail and strong work ethic
Ability to provide high level customer service in a high volume and fast-moving team environment
Flexible and adaptable to prevailing circumstances
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Effective communicator continually demonstrating sensitivity to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaborate as a member of team, while prioritizing multiple objectives to consistently meet project’s established timelines

AIR’s Total Rewards Program, is designed to reward our staff competitively and motivate them to achieve our critical mission. This position offers an anticipated annual salary of $50,000 – $80,000. Salary offers are made based on internal equity within the institution and external equity with competitive markets. Please note this is the annual salary range for candidates that are based in the United States.
