Sales Support Consultant- IFP- Work From Home Opportunity
Job Summary:
This position is a mid-level role within the Sales Team with future growth opportunities within the Individual & Family Plans sales organization. This individual will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the sales process and working with the broker management team. This person will be the liaison between the Sales team and internal partners (e.g. Licensing, Commissions, Marketing, etc.). The role will also have external facing responsibilities with Brokers when need be, by providing back-up support to the Sales team. This person must be capable of working independently while demonstrating sound judgment.
The first primary responsibility for this position is to work closely with the broker management team and support them by working alongside the broker community in their markets. This requires knowledge and understanding of Cigna’s ACA products, broker tools, commissions and more. Attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work under tight time constraints are necessary. This individual will be expected to communicate directly with the broker community on a regular basis and will have the resources/support necessary to perform their job.
The second primary responsibility would be providing back up to the broker management team during busy times of the year. This entails putting on Cigna product trainings when requested by the broker community, attending events in replacement of your broker management partners. You will also need to work with internal partners in replacement for your broker management counterparts if they are unable to attend.
Core Responsibilities:
Benefit Administration
Produce product summaries for brokers
Produce marketing materials, commissions, and policy information to the brokers
Partner with the Broker Manager to ensure the broker expectations are met
Partner with Product, Compliance, Licensing on issues as needed
Stay current with quoting process / changes and sales tools
Build relationships with Brokers to enhance the Broker experience
Schedule time to educate the broker community on our initiatives or new products
Answer broker inquires
Triage broker related issues as they come in from your external partners
Internal Support
Handle Broker onboarding by initiating evites
Act as back-up / point person for Broker Managers/or Broker questions
Act as a resource to Manager / others on special projects
Provide out-of-office support as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS highly preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
Demonstrated knowledge of health insurance or employee benefit experience
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and proactively with internal and external partners
Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills
Ability to quickly understand the Brokers needs and expectations
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer is required
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 22 – 33 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
